About 660,000 DC area households are without power as I write this. That's down from over one million households that lost all power after the derecho struck Friday night.

Since all crises are personal and given the a/c is running and Hog Heaven World Headquarters is internet-connected again, I think PEPCO is going a great job. It's going to be a scorcher this week, so I hope PEPCO and the four other utilities affected restore power to those other folks soon.
